MFF Academy Mentor program
To Strengthen Professional Development
The mentoring program is part of the MFF Academy, aimed at enhancing the professional development of doctoral students within the food system. Through our mentoring program, each PhD student or postdoc gains access to experienced mentors who serve as a sounding board during their doctoral studies and assist in navigating potential career paths after graduation.
Mentorship is about building valuable connections and receiving guidance from an independent conversation partner with extensive experience in the food system. The mentor provides support for professional development, helps explore career opportunities, and shares their network and experiences.
At MFF Academy, the mentor is not a scientific supervisor but an external resource from our partners who acts as a sounding board, offering advice on career planning and connections within the food system. Through the mentoring program, participants gain new perspectives, the opportunity to expand their own network, and strengthen their position for the future.
The mentorship lasts throughout the entire doctoral period, which typically spans 4–5 years.
