Mistra Food Futures Academy

To educate young researchers, research assistants, doctoral candidates, and postdoctoral researchers is fundamental to academic work. Mistra Food Futures is organized around a group of doctoral candidates and postdoctoral researchers, who, with guidance from senior supervisors and mentors from both academia and partners within the food system, will pursue their doctoral or postdoctoral education within the program. In this way, we are training the future researchers in food systems with the necessary interdisciplinary skills and competencies, contributing to securing the availability of qualified researchers in sustainable food systems.

The Mistra Food Futures research program is a pioneering initiative aimed at promoting sustainability and innovation within the food system. Through collaboration between academia, industry, and public authority partners, we are dedicated to addressing the complex challenges facing the food system and developing solutions for a more resilient and sustainable future.

We prioritize the education and development of young researchers, including research assistants, doctoral candidates, and postdoctoral researchers, within both social and natural sciences. By offering opportunities for networking, professional development, and interdisciplinary collaboration, we are shaping the next generation of researchers within the food system.
