On the last day of May, Mistra Food Futures and Formas brought together researchers from various fields for a joint workshop to discuss the future of protein supply, with each participant approaching the issue from their own perspective. Throughout the day, they discussed bottlenecks and opportunities, as well as their experiences working with sustainability issues and transforming the food system. Drafts for a white paper, a debate article, and new applications were developed, which will be further refined.
The day was appreciated by all, and Evelina Höglund from FINEST summarized the sentiment:
– It became evident during this workshop that we all struggle with similar challenges, and we see the need to unite in Sweden, and perhaps also in the Nordic region, for example through a joint conference.
